ABOUd’CAO, a VSE cooperative for the production, processing and marketing of cocoa and other agricultural products, is located in Aboudé sub-prefecture, in the Agneby-Tiassa region, Agboville department.
It is made up of around forty members, 100% of whom are women in the transformation process, and has been operating as a micro-enterprise since its creation in November 2018.
It has a “zero post-harvest loss” approach, in particular transforming the beans into dried fruits, the by-products into herbal tea, soap and seasoning sauce (or jam) and, marginally, transforms the old trunks of cocoa trees into works of art.
